From 1 September 2026, the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) will resume accepting new requests under the SG Patents Fast and SG Trade Marks Fast acceleration programmes.

The programmes will be available for eligible requests and applications filed on or after this date. Applicants may seek expedited processing in relation to patent search and examination reports, patent examination reports, and trade mark registration applications.

Applicants considering expedited examination are encouraged to review the applicable eligibility criteria and filing requirements before submitting their requests, particularly where an accelerated prosecution timeline is relevant to their filing strategy.
